Required Qualifications:

Professional Engineer preferably in either mechanical or electrical discipline or, 3rd Class Power Engineer or greater or, Building trade Journeyman certification or, Certified Facility Manager (CFM designation). Must have a minimum of 5 years in a supervisory capacity in hospitals, institutions or industrial sites of significant size, complexity and diversity.


Additional Required Qualifications:

This position requires excellent communication skills. A demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development. Effective communicator with strong organizational skills, influential skills, customer and patient focused orientation and commitment to providing quality services. Strong track record in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Ability to plan, organize and manage short and long-term plans and projects and deliver customer-focused results. Demonstrated ability to manage change and create innovative solutions for complex and diverse issues. Leadership skills, including demonstrated ability and comfort with decision-making responsibilities, coaching and teaching, and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others. Proven ability to foster partnerships and to achieve organizational goals within an organization and ideally managing within a unionized sector. Excellent analytical and decision-making skills. Ability to manage human, financial and physical resources within an operating environment. Ability to foster a climate of cooperation amongst, and build solid relationships with public agencies, government, committees and other partners.


Preferred Qualifications:

Managing in a union environment would be considered an asset.
