Required Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science with a major in Foods and Nutrition. Completion of an internship program or practicum training program accredited by the Dietitians of Canada. Active or eligible for registration with the College of Dietitians of Alberta (CDA).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Recent experience supervising (precepting) dietetic interns. Previous experience of five years as a Dietitian preferably in a healthcare setting. Experience assessing evidence, sharing best practices and fostering development of others. Excellent computer skills and knowledge of MS Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Strong understanding of adult education principles. Superior written and oral communication skills, including coaching, group presentation and facilitation skills. Proven problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Ability to foster a climate of collaboration and build solid relationships with stakeholders. Project management skills and experience with leading projects and change initiatives. Experience with quality improvement and evaluation. Mandatory registration with the College of Dietitians of Alberta and evidence of renewal of practice permit on or before April 1st of each year.

Preferred Qualifications:

Masters degree in a related area is preferred (e.g. nutrition and metabolism, adult education, program planning and evaluation).
