As an inpatient Dietitian in this community, you would be a frontline professional within Nutrition Services reporting to the Manager, Nutrition Services, South Zone. You will be responsible for assessing, developing, implementing and evaluating nutrition care plans for patients in the acute care practice area. In this position you will work with multidisciplinary teams in acute care at the Chinook Regional Hospital to achieve nutrition and health outcomes using a patient focused approach.
Description:
As a Dietitian I, you may provide nutrition expertise to patients (clients, residents) in various AHS facilities and community settings to achieve nutrition and health outcomes. You may be responsible for nutrition assessment, development, implementation and evaluation of nutrition care plans. You may plan and provide public health nutrition services and education programs to promote healthy living and disease prevention for clients/groups in facilities or community settings. Nutrition education is provided to students and other healthcare professionals to support delivery of evidence based nutrition information.

Bachelor of Science with a major in Foods and Nutrition. Completion of an internship program or practicum training program accredited by the Dietitians of Canada. Active or eligible for registration with the College of Dietitians of Alberta (CDA).
Additional Required Qualifications:Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Preferred Qualifications:Minimum 2 years' experience as a registered dietitian. Experience in acute nutrition care and pediatric practice areas. Experience with Enteral Nutrition. Restricted activity to prescribe Parenteral Nutrition. Experience in nutrition counselling for behaviour change. Experience with virtual health applications (MS Teams, Zoom, etc).
