As the Dietitian I, your primary focus will be aiding individuals with diabetes in preventing or delaying diabetic nephropathy. As a vital interdisciplinary team member, you will conduct nutrition assessments and develop nutrition interventions and care plans in collaboration with clients to meet their nutrition goals. Severing as a liaison between Nutrition Services and Chronic Disease Management Programs, you will utilize nutrition counselling, behavioral change and health promotion strategies to achieve nutrition and health goals. Description:

As a Dietitian I, you may provide nutrition expertise to patients (clients, residents) in various AHS facilities and community settings to achieve nutrition and health outcomes. You may be responsible for nutrition assessment, development, implementation and evaluation of nutrition care plans. You may plan and provide public health nutrition services and education programs to promote healthy living and disease prevention for clients/groups in facilities or community settings. Nutrition education is provided to students and other healthcare professionals to support delivery of evidence based nutrition information.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science with a major in Foods and Nutrition. Completion of an internship program or practicum training program accredited by the Dietitians of Canada. Active or eligible for registration with the College of Dietitians of Alberta (CDA).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Driver's license and reliable vehicle.

Preferred Qualifications:

The successful candidate will demonstrate a Patient First philosophy; be comfortable working across the spectrum of care and be able to support both adult and pediatric patients and have excellent time management and interpersonal skills.
