Required Qualifications:

Completion of Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Foods and Nutrition. Completion of an internship program or practicum training program accredited by the Dietitians of Canada. Active or eligible for registration with the College of Dietitians of Alberta (CDA).

Additional Qualifications:

University Degree in Nutrition or equivalent. Member of the College of Dietitians of Alberta or equivalent. Must have a valid Alberta driver’s license and access to a vehicle as travel may be required throughout the Calgary area. Experience working with Indigenous communities or clients. Awareness and knowledge of Indigenous cultural competency/safety. Evidence of effective counselling skills in individual and group setting. Evidence of initiative, flexibility and strong commitment. Proven ability to foster partnerships, establish and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders. Strong facilitation skills with the ability to engage. Demonstrated ability to thrive and contribute in a changing environment. Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with colleagues and clients as a member of a team. Demonstrated ability to apply knowledge, skills and judgement required for independent practice. Demonstrated time management and organizational skills. Demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skills. Engages in activities that promote professional growth. Computer skills including e-mail and Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications:

Recent experience in clinical nutrition preferred. Experience in outpatient / ambulatory care settings preferred. This position requires a vehicle for business use. Possession of a valid driver's license and access to a motor vehicle in good repair for work-related travel is required.
