Completion of extended diploma from an accredited ultrasound program or completion of certification in Diagnostic Sonography from an accredited program. Active or eligible for registration with Sonography Canada and/or Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic & Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT and/or American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Graduate of an accredited school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography with a cardiac specialty. Current member in good standing of Sonography Canada and ARDMS. Current Registration/Certification with Sonography Canada (CRCS) in Echocardiography along with Current Registration with ARDMS (RDCS) in Pediatric Echocardiography. Minimum of 5 years experience as a Diagnostic Medical Cardiac Sonographer, within the last 7 years. A demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development. Instructional experience, including preceptor training and/or staff orientation. Demonstrated ability to effectively teach, coach, and mentor allied health professionals.
Preferred Qualifications:Recent supervisory experience. Leadership training/education. Quality improvement training/education. Adult education certification is an asset.
