Completion of extended diploma from an accredited ultrasound program or completion of certification in Diagnostic Sonography from an accredited program. Active or eligible for registration with Sonography Canada and/or Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic & Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT and/or American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Graduate of an approved training program in Ultrasonography. Ability to provide imaging guidance for women's health procedures in the Operating Room. Ability to support Interventional Radiologists while performing Ultrasound-guided procedures. Ability to work independently and efficiently supporting a very busy Emergency Department on Weekends and Evenings. Should be able to complete a scan interview as part of the hiring process.
Preferred Qualifications:Vascular and BCLS certifications. Working knowledge of EPIC. Maternal Fetal Medicine experience. Demonstrated proficient organizational, technical, interpersonal, communication, and computer skills required. Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and in emergency situations required. Demonstrated ability to assume responsibility, to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.
