Completion of extended diploma from an accredited ultrasound program or completion of certification in Diagnostic Sonography from an accredited program. Active or eligible for registration with Sonography Canada and/or Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic & Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT and/or American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Graduate of an approved Ultrasound Training Program. Valid membership from Sonography Canada and/or American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) is required. Contrast enhanced ultrasound experience required. Standards of Practice as defined by the regulatory college (ACMDTT). Must be able to work all shifts based on operational needs. Effectively uses information and communication technology. Strong organizational skills. Ability to collaborate and work effectively with technical, medical, and administrative personnel. Effective negotiation and conflict resolution skills. Ability to work independently and cooperatively to promote good teamwork. Ability to work under pressure, in emergency situations and balance and prioritize numerous demands. Sound judgement and concern for detail and accuracy. Compassionate and caring attitude and focused patient and family centered care.
Preferred Qualifications:At least 2 years current ultrasound experience preferred. Breast imaging experience an asset. Vascular certification preferred.
