Required Qualifications:

Completion of extended diploma from an accredited ultrasound program or completion of certification in Diagnostic Sonography from an accredited program. Active or eligible for registration with Sonography Canada and/or Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic & Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT and/or American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Acute care scanning experience. The ability to transport patients by wheelchair, stretcher, and bed as well as transfer patients by slider board and mechanical lift.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in acute care pediatric scanning, It's Your Move training in safe patient handling, sonography ergonomics, Impax, and Connect Care experience an asset. Preferred experience with Philips and GE Ultrasound machines and student preceptorship. Registration with Sonography Canada in Vascular or American registry of RVT also an asset.
