Required Qualifications:

Completion of extended diploma from an accredited ultrasound program; or Completion of certification in Diagnostic Sonography from an accredited program plus a diploma in a related field (Medical Radiology, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Nuclear Medicine or Radiation Therapy) or a Bachelor of Science degree in a related field (e.g. Kinesiology). Active or eligible for registration with Sonography Canada and Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic & Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Qualifications:

Required to work all shifts and on call as assigned. Demonstrated proficient organizational, technical, interpersonal, communication and computer skills required. Demonstrated ability to assume responsibility, work effectively both independently and within a team environment required. Demonstrate ability to work under pressure and in emergency situations required. Demonstrated interest in professional growth required. Demonstrated ability in the areas of perception, initiative, judgement and concern for attention to detail and accuracy required. Demonstrated ability in the use of tact, courtesy and professionalism with patients, families, staff and physician required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Vascular (CRVS or RVT) certification preferred.
