Completion of extended diploma from an accredited ultrasound program or completion of certification in Diagnostic Sonography from an accredited program. Active or eligible for registration with Sonography Canada and/or Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic & Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT and/or American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Canadian Registered Generalist Sonographer and Canadian Registered Cardiac Sonographer designations required. Experience with neonatal scanning, vascular scanning, ECHO, and obstetrics required.
Preferred Qualifications:Demonstrated proficiency in interpersonal, communication, and computer skills. Displayed ability to assume personal responsibility and work effectively within a team environment while showing initiative, judgement and attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and in emergency situations. Keen interest in professional growth and proven track record of professionalism with patients.
