Required Qualifications:

Active or eligible for registration with the College of Registered Dental Hygienists of Alberta (CRDHA).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited Dental Hygiene Program. Registered Dental Hygienist with the Alberta Dental Hygiene Association’. Current Basic Life Support (CPR). 2-5 years' experience as a dental hygienist. Prolonged sitting and/or standing to provide patient treatment. Occasional assistance with transferring of patients with/without a lift.

Preferred Qualifications:

2-5 years' experience as a dental hygienist in a hospital-based dental program preferred. Experience with patients who are mentally and/or physically challenged is an asset. Experience with Power Practice Dental Charting an asset. Experience with Digital X-ray an asset. Experience in providing dental hygiene care for dependent adults, immunocompromised or patients with a mental health background an asset. Knowledge of medical conditions which may impact on oral health.
