Required Qualifications:

Completion of bachelor's degree in a health related field. Minimum two years' experience in a mental health setting. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS - HCP). Current First Aid certification.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Must be registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers or College of Alberta Psychologists if eligible. The successful candidate will have effective time management and organizational skills, along with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a timely manner. You will be goal oriented and customer service focused, with a solution-based approach to managing client needs. You will also have well-developed communication skills, along with effective assessment, interviewing and counseling skills to determine the needs of the client. You will have the ability to work in a discreet and confidential manner and be adaptable to a changing environment. You will also have a commitment to working in a team setting. The successful candidate will also have a university degree in counseling, social work or relevant discipline. A minimum of two years’ experience with counseling clients is required. You will also be required to have experience with current computer applications and a minimum typing speed of 25 - 30 wpm.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with customer service and assisting people with Tobacco cessation/addictions or lifestyle changes is an asset. Knowledge and experience in Connect Care is an asset. A confident, positive attitude along with a caring and respectful manner will be assets. Clear enunciation over the telephone, clear and concise written and oral communication skills, and well-developed problem solving and critical thinking skills will also be assets.
