Completion of post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field or equivalent.
Additional Required Qualifications:A minimum of NFPA 1001 Fire Fighter, NFPA 1031 Fire Inspector and NFPA 1035 Public Education or equivalency. Professional designations; Certified Healthcare Protection Administrator (CHPA), or experience as an Alberta Safety Code Officer. A minimum of 10 years' experience in Fire Services including 5 years in a fire prevention role, ideally in an organization of significant size, complexity and diversity (healthcare experience). Demonstrated advanced knowledge of current Alberta Building/Fire Codes and NFPA is required. Must have solid computer skills including Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook. The successful candidate must be an effective communicator with strong organizational skills, proven leadership abilities, influential skills, client focused orientation and commitment to providing quality services A minimum of post-secondary education or a combination of education and experience will be considered. Flexibility to leave the local site to work out of town on short notice.
