Required Qualifications:

Completion of post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field or equivalent.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Consideration will also be given to the applicant who has obtained their Journeyman status with several years of work experience. The successful applicant will also have; 1 to 3 years hospital clinical experience or experience in a healthcare or similar environment with an understanding of clinical practice and patient care. The incumbent needs to be comfortable working with clinical & non-clinical staff, senior management, physicians, vendors, external consultants, architects and AHS executives, Government of Alberta ministries, etc., as required. A medical terminology course and the ability to understand clinical and medical terminology. Strong proven keyboarding/data entry, computing, communication, and writing skills are essential.

Preferred Qualifications:

Ability to read and interpret design drawings and engineering specifications as well as contract documents would be preferred. Knowledge of design and construction practices would be an asset. Experience working with computer aided drafting programs would be an asset. Experience as a Project Coordinator in the construction or manufacturing industries is a definite asset. A project management background is preferred.
