Required Qualifications:

Completion of post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field or equivalent.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Consideration will also be given to the applicant who has obtained their Journeyman status with several years of work experience. 1 to 3 years hospital clinical experience or experience in a healthcare or similar environment with an understanding of clinical practice and patient care. The incumbent needs to be comfortable working with clinical & non-clinical staff, senior management, physicians, vendors, external consultants, architects and AHS executives, Government of Alberta ministries, etc., as required. A medical terminology course and the ability to understand clinical and medical terminology. Strong proven keyboarding/data entry, computing, communication, and writing skills are essential. The applicant must be able to carry an object weighing 30kg. In addition the applicant must be able to lift a 30kg item from the floor to above their shoulder height. The position requires that the applicant will regularly be required to move large or very heavy objects. Provincial travel/work required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Ability to read and interpret design drawings and engineering specifications as well as contract documents. Knowledge of design and construction practices. Experience working with computer aided drafting programs. Experience as a Project Coordinator in the construction or manufacturing industries. A project management background.
