Coordinator, EMS Business Standards and Operations Support
Your Opportunity:
Reporting to the Manager of EHS Facilities, the incumbent’s main objective is to provide EHS facility support by ensuring maintenance processes are followed and to collaborate with HSS Capital Management (CM) and/or external vendors on site specific issues. The incumbent is the subject matter expert in the area of EMS facility maintenance and will possess a strong understanding of EHS workflow processes for all five zones. Travel is necessary as station inspections and maintenance overviews occur on a routine basis. In addition, participation as part of facility projects, zone purchasing and site visits will be required. This position may allow the incumbent location flexibility within the South or Central zones, subject to an agreed upon base location with the program Supervisor and Manager.
Description:
As a Coordinator, you will ensure that the ambulance fleet, medical equipment and supplies, and emergency response stations meet all applicable provincial standards and regulatory requirements in accordance with Alberta Health, as well APH standards, policies, and quality and patient safety requirements, including established medical control protocols. You will act as a subject matter expert in these areas and possess a strong understanding of operational workflows across the organization. Your responsibilities will include working closely with Operations and external vendors to maintain and repair fleet vehicles, coordinate the supply and distribution of uniforms, support facility maintenance, and manage the inventory and distribution of medical equipment and supplies.

Completion of an Alberta College of Paramedics (ACP) accredited program. Active registration and practice permit with the Alberta College of Paramedics (ACP). Must hold a valid Class 4 Alberta Operator's Licence with no more than six (6) demerits.
Additional Required Qualifications:High School Diploma, G.E.D or equivalent. Registered member of Alberta College of Paramedics (EMR or higher). Professional Liability Insurance. Professional Driver Improvement Course (PDIC).
Preferred Qualifications:ICS 100/200 Certified. Intermediate computer skills including proficiency with Adobe, Microsoft Office Suite. Have a working knowledge of Markview and iExpense. Minimum three (3) years equivalency employed full time as a VESST or as an EHS practitioner. Effective communicator, both written and verbal. A strong attention to detail with well-developed organizational skills.
