Your Opportunity:

In Volunteer Resources, our goal is to communicate and promote Cancer Care Alberta (CCA) as an organization of choice, develop strategic plans to build and sustain volunteer pipelines and to maximize the efficiency and productivity of our services, all in support of ongoing patient and family centered care objectives. Working with a dynamic team of Volunteer Resources professionals, and reporting to the Manager, Volunteer Resources, this position is responsible for the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of the operations in support of the vision, mission and business plan of Cancer Care Alberta and Volunteer Resources.

Description:

Volunteer Resources Coordinator involves: Expertise in the volunteer management processes including the administration of the overall volunteer engagement & recruitment cycle and use of volunteer management software. Planning for continual improvement of volunteer involvement through facilitation and feedback from volunteers, staff, and stakeholders. Monitoring and evaluating volunteer practices in the revenue generating programs assigned. Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with volunteers, key stakeholders, and leaders within the programs assigned. Willingness to assist and adapt to changing programs and needs of the department. Ability to handle multiple program areas and support the volunteer team and the Cross Cancer Institute Volunteer Association (CCIVA) mission. Ability to help run and assist the retail spaces owned and operated by the CCIVA.

Required Qualifications:

Personal Volunteer Experience (1-3 years). Volunteer Resources Management Certificate or Background in Human Resources.

Preferred Qualifications:

Non-profit organization experience is preferred. Retail experience is preferred. Experience with Volunteer Management software is preferred. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite is preferred. Experience with cash handling is preferred.
