Description:

The Coordinator is a unique position that provides the vision, direction and supervision for a variety of inpatient and outpatient volunteer programming and donation-based programming at the Royal Alexandra Hospital. Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to bring a wide variety of staff and patient centered programing to the site. The coordinator is responsible for ensuring an adequate volunteer pool is maintained (interviewing, screening, selection and retention) as well as ensuring balanced sustainable programming that meets the standards, vision and mission of the organization.

Required Qualifications:

A post secondary degree in Volunteer Resources/Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or Management in Human and Social Services or an equivalent of experience, education, and training may be considered.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Previous experience of 3-5 years in a similar leadership role within a volunteer resource environment in an organization of significant size, complexity, and diversity is preferred (healthcare experience is an asset). Demonstrated pattern of professional and personal development. Strong communication skills.


Preferred Qualifications:

VMPC membership and certification is preferred. Leadership experience of 3-5 years in a volunteer service environment with an organization of significant size, complexity and diversity is preferred (healthcare experience an asset). Personal volunteer experience is required. Experience with Better Impact is considered an asset.
