Bachelor’s degree in a health related/community development profession preferred with current registration with applicable health professional regulatory body. Equivalent education and related experience will be considered. A minimum 3-5years experience in a healthcare or related setting ideally in an organization of significant size, complexity and diversity. It would be a significant asset to have experience working with diverse and vulnerable populations. Community development and engagement skills are essential. Strong leadership and organizational skills. Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal. Well-developed critical thinking skills. Able to work independently. Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team environment. Computer skills, MS Office, skilled in web based communication. Effective communicator with strong organizational and influential skills. Client /family/community - focused. Ability to respect and respond to the service needs of diverse and vulnerable populations. Proven track record in fostering and maintaining effective partnerships and working relationships with community, internal and external stakeholders. Strong community development and engagement skills.

Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills. Ability to foster a climate of cooperation amongst, and build solid relationships with AHS services, public agencies, government, committees and other partners. This position requires interaction with multiple stakeholders with complex and interconnected relationships. Respect for the philosophy of self-management, mutual aid, adult education principles and the understanding of the impact of chronic health conditions on the individual and the health care system is central to the vision required for this position. This position will also require travel across the zone jurisdiction and occasional travel within the province. The nature of the position necessitates working relationships with multiple key internal and external stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior supervisory or management experience.
