Required Qualifications:

Key Responsibilities: Supports the Clinical Engineering team through the application of technical expertise in assisting front line technologists and management. Under the guidance of senior staff, this could involve basic repairs, data entry, record keeping, organizing, parts management, or other technical duties as directed. Participates in job shadowing, local staff meetings and/or working groups as directed. Contributes to the overall team in supporting medical devices and systems which directly impact our customers – clinicians and patients. Willing to travel and work at other South Zone hospital sites as needed.

Additional Required Qualifications:

1st year undergraduate student specializing in Biomedical Engineering Technology. General understanding of medical devices including concepts such as safety aspects, design principles, and basic maintenance requirements. Mechanical aptitude with analytical and problem solving abilities. General understanding of Microsoft Windows computer applications including MS Office suite. Strong verbal and written communication skills – including experience working in a team environment. Ability to travel and work at other South Zone hospital sites as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous involvement with Maintenance Management Systems or similar systems.
