Required Qualifications:

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent. Physically capable to lift food, supplies and equipment up to 46lbs and must be able to push/pull meal carts up to 250lbs. This position requires you to walk and stand on your feet for the duration of your shift. Food Sanitation and Hygiene Certificate or equivalent.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Journeyperson Cook required. Demonstrated Customer Service experience and training required. Minimum of 3 years’ work-related experience in commercial food service or restaurant cooking required. Basic knowledge of computer applications is required. Cost control experience is required. Food Sanitation and Hygiene certificate is required. All new employees must be able to attend a 2-day Patient Food Service New Employee Orientation followed by an onsite orientation shift. Preferred Qualifications:

Red Seal endorsement is preferred. Two years' experience with health care food service preferred. Texture modification food preparation training preferred. WHMIS training is preferred. Workplace Health and Safety Training preferred. Preference will be given to internal applicants.
