A Master’s degree or equivalency considered in a Health, Business, Policy or Social Science field required. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in addiction and mental health in project, or program management in a complex health care setting or an organization of significant size. Experience in research – preferably in addiction and mental health clinical research. Proficiency with computer skills in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Outlook, SharePoint and PowerPoint).
Additional Required Qualifications:
Experience in stakeholder management, working in partnerships, quality improvement, change management, business analysis, report writing, and project management. Strong critical thinking and problem solving abilities. Experience in organizing, chairing and facilitating meetings with stakeholders. Strong organizational, planning and time management skills with the ability to multitask produce and coordinate projects with tight timelines. Proven ability to foresee risk and allow for contingency when planning; monitor and adjust plans, as necessary. Experience writing briefing notes and status updates. Experience in gathering and critically apprising evidence; knowledge of evaluation, including literature searches and environmental scans. Strong strategic and systems thinking, particularly at the provincial level.
Preferred Qualifications:
Working knowledge of roles, responsibilities, and relationships between government, health authority, and community services. Experience in applying for research ethics approval. Knowledge of health research regulations and processes. Involvement in quality indicator creation and analysis is of benefit.
