Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent required. Valid First Aid Certificate and Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (Level C) required. Required to be in good physical condition and provide proof of successful completion of Physical Abilities Requirement Evaluation (P.A.R.E.) Must possess a valid operator's license and provide a clear criminal records check for which a pardon has not been granted, and have no charges pending before the courts. Must be eligible to be appointed as a CPO II with the Solicitor General Public Security Peace Officer Program.
Additional Required Qualifications:As Required.
Preferred Qualifications:Two (2) years post-secondary education in Security, Law Enforcement, or Criminal Justice preferred. Certificate in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention preferred. Must be familiar with Canadian Law; enforcement of provincial statutes preferred. Five (5) years related experience in security/law enforcement preferred. CPO II training preferred. Experience in a health care setting and with by-law enforcement desired. PPCT including Baton training preferred.
