Required Qualifications:

Completion of Grade 12.

Please note, this facility provides Long Term Care (LTC) or Designated Supportive Living (DSL) services and by Order of the Chief Medical Officer of Health, many AHS employees are restricted to work only at a single LTC/DSL site for the remainder of the pandemic. Speak to the hiring manager who will confirm if, as the successful candidate in this position, you will be restricted to work at only one LTC/DLS site in Alberta. Indigenous Language is an asset. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Knowledge of the diversity of Indigenous cultural and political structures. Experience working in a culturally diverse environment. Effective oral and written communication skills.Evidence of strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to solve routine and standard problems. Evidence of initiative, flexibility and strong commitment. Demonstrated punctuality, adaptability and discretion. Must be able to take part on developing and maintaining respectful professional working relationships within AHS and with Indigenous clients, families and communities.

Preferred Qualifications:

College certificate/diploma in related health care discipline, such as Community Health Representative, Social Work, or Nursing preferred (If part of a registered profession—registration in good standing with applicable governing body).
