Required Qualifications:

Degree in Dentistry from accredited institution. Dental licensure in Alberta.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Three years of Canadian dental clinical experience. Excels in providing emergency dental care to people in pain. Strong dental surgical skills. Ability to evaluate dental needs accordingly to the patient context and needs. Ability to provide services to clients with anxiety, mental health and addiction issues. Ability to deal with young children who are not cooperative. Ability to deal with unpredictable and rapidly changing schedule of emergencies. Application of antibiotic stewardship principles for dentistry. Application of the population health approach within a public dental clinic: provide quality, evidence based, cost-efficient, basic care in a high pressure, busy environment. Deals competently with clients who have English as a second language. Interpersonal, organizational and team skills including ability to establish rapport with clients and staff. Leads and motivates, works independently and as a valued team member. Maintains dental clinic team production and morale. Familiar with dental software, email, electronic resources and tools.


Preferred Qualifications:

Additional experience in public health dental clinic setting. Additional qualifications with dental surgery. Additional qualifications with pediatric dentistry.
