Completion of bachelor's degree in a health or education related field.
Additional Required Qualifications:Specialized training in the field of teaching and learning and group facilitation. Minimum 3 years’ experience of recent group facilitation/teaching & with program, project, lesson or curriculum design, development, assessment & evaluation. Demonstrated knowledge/training & application of: Educational theory (pedagogy, teaching and learning, taxonomies, effective education), LGBTQ+ inclusive practice, Cultural awareness and humility. References supporting a strong skillset in the following areas: communication, teaching, facilitation and presentation, critical thinking, effective time management & organization. Training/Education and understanding in the areas of: Population and Public Health, Sex positivity, Trauma-informed, harm-reduction & stigma awareness approaches to education, health care or social service provision References supporting the ability to participate effectively as a team member, including ability to request & accept direction & feedback as required; work creatively with initiative, withholding judgement & adaptability; manage a variety of values and perspectives with tact, diplomacy & sensitivity to diverse populations & circumstances. Training/Education/Experience using computers and internet technologies as well as knowledge of the use and maintenance of various social media platforms, & use of various online education formats. Training & experience teaching human sexuality, educating youth populations is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:Lived-experience or working experience/specialized training in creating safer spaces for all people including all sexual orientations, gender identities & expressions, those who identify as people of color, indigenous people, people with disabilities or newcomers to Canada. Lived experience or working experience with populations disproportionately impacted by health disparities. Experience with professional writing. Ability to lift/carry 25 lbs to transport teaching/fair/materials and supplies.
