Required Qualifications:

Completion of diploma from an accredited program in Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technology (CLXT). Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Combined Laboratory and X-ray Technologists (ACCLXT).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Recent, relevant experience as a Combined Laboratory and X-ray Technologist performing procedures in laboratory and general diagnostic imaging. Laboratory experience includes hematology, chemistry, coagulation, urinalysis, specimen collection, preparation and referral. Recent ECG experience. Ability to work independently and promote good teamwork. Ability to multitask under pressure and in emergency situations. Good organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. Ability to demonstrate tact and courtesy in dealing with patients, staff, and physicians. Practice effective radiation protection, infection control, and safety techniques as applicable. Ability to adapt to change. Ability to interpret, explain, and apply applicable legislation, standards, policies and procedures. Proficient computer skills. Highly motivated to picking up additional shifts.

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiar with Sysmex 550, ACL Elite Pro, Vitros 250, Clinitek status, Triage meter, Istat, CSF/Fluid procedures. Experience with MUSE, Kodak CR, Phillips X-ray, Mobile X-ray. Meditech experience and pediatric collection experience.
