Master's degree in Psychology or Social Work; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Active or eligible for full registration (not provisional) with the applicable regulatory college. A minimum of 5 years' experience in providing mental health assessment and intervention, including restricted activity of psychosocial intervention.
Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum of 5 years (within the last 7 years) demonstrated clinical experience and excellence in adult addiction and mental health. 1-3 years in a supervisory role. Demonstrated ability to manage the day-to-day concerns of a busy AMH clinic. Knowledge and experience of the Outpatient Services Redesign. Minimum of 5 years demonstrated clinical experience and excellence in individual, family and group therapy in an addiction and mental health/psychiatric setting with the identified population of the service area the position will work with. Extensive training and experience in the assessment and treatment of adults with a severe and persistent mental illness required. Clinical skills necessary to support and supervise advanced practitioners with frontline care required. Experience with developing and facilitating educational opportunities for staff and other stakeholder required within the last 7 years. Comprehensive knowledge of regional Mental Health resources and ability to confidently connect clients to those resources required. Knowledge of mental health continuum of service. Ability to function effectively in dynamic situations and remain accountable. Demonstrated conflict resolution and change management skills. Demonstrated ability to be creative, flexible, well organized, efficient, self-directed, dependable, and a collaborative systems thinker. Strong computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience with facilitating and developing group programming. Ability to effectively participate in planning and implementation of projects related to achieving portfolio goals and objectives. Experience and extra training in psychosis considered an asset. This position has transitioned to Recovery Alberta effective September 1, 2024.
