Required Qualifications:

Master's Degree in Psychology or Social Work or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Active or eligible for registration with the applicable regulatory body. Must hold general registration prior to starting in the position. 5 years' experience in providing mental health assessment and intervention, including restricted activity of psychosocial intervention.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Master's degree in Psychology from an accredited program. Master's degree in Social Work (clinical specialization) including education in addiction and mental health assessments and psychotherapy, who have Psychosocial Intervention Authorization. Master's degree in Occupational Therapy including training and experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy. Master's degree in Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing including training and experience in addiction and mental health assessments and provision of psychotherapy. Current Heart and Stroke Foundation (HSF) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers. Employer provided training in Suicide Risk Management. Employer provided training in Prevention of Harassment and Violence (PoHV) or Non-Violent Crisis Intervention. Certification in clinical supervision or completion of clinical supervision training or certification within the first twelve months of employment. Certification specific to one or more evidence based psychotherapies preferred (individual and group). Current Class 5 Driver’s Licence. Solid understanding of Change Management Process. Expert knowledge of co-occurring health needs (addiction and mental health) is required. Knowledge and experience using the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5).

Preferred Qualifications:

Minimum one year experience providing clinical supervision within addiction and mental health services preferred. Experience in program development and evaluation is preferred. Experience in residential addiction treatment environments is preferred.
