Master's degree in Nursing. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Master's Degree in Nursing. Extensive knowledge of rural Seniors Health clinical operations in Home Care; Long Term Care and/or Supportive Living experience is an asset. Exceptional writing skills with the ability to create clinical guidelines utilizing evidence based research. Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills to establish and maintain trusting relationships with internal and external partners. Strong analytical skills with the ability to problem solve and respond to complex clinical questions ensuring best practice and quality outcomes for clients. Committed role model for the AHS values of compassion, accountability, respect, excellence and safety. Strong knowledge of Case Management, Care Planning and Provincial MAP guidelines. Previous experience in development of policies, procedures, guidelines and/or protocols. Previous experience regarding Scopes of Practice in front line staff. Ability to work independently, multitask and set priorities. Driver’s license and vehicle may be required for occasional travel for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:PROSCI certification, change management principles, Clinical Informatics Experience. Recent experience in participating or leading a research project. Previous experience as a Superuser for Connect Care, and as a member of zone and provincial committees or working groups. 10 years nursing experience in Rural healthcare. Previous experience with guiding researching and answering professional practice questions.
