Required Qualifications:

Completion of bachelor's degree in a health related field. Active registration with the applicable professional association or college.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Completion of a CCAPP-accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program. Active/eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician. 3 years AHS pharmacy experience, demonstrating indirect frontline leadership. Knowledge of clinical information system support for Willow Inpatient, Willow Ambulatory, Willow Inventory or BDM or Meditech (build tools & configuration). Experience testing upgrades and new code and troubleshooting existing configuration. Pharmacy operational understanding: experience with a variety of responsibilities including but not limited to computer order entry, IV admixture and unit dose drug distribution, barcoding, and inventory control. IT systems understanding: basic understanding of the technical systems and their capabilities. Strong analytical skills to decompose and understand current and future state processes and their impacts, risks, understand systems and how they relate to each other. Must be comfortable working in a continuously evolving and changing environment. Demonstrated ability to interface with senior stakeholders and discuss goals, objectives, and requirements. Strong organizational skills including comfort in leading meetings, presenting ideas and gaining approvals. Must be accurate, reliable, precise, cooperative, able to demonstrate effective service attitude, self-motivated. Demonstrated communication (verbal & written), interpersonal, organizational and problem solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Time management skills: ability to switch priorities and multitask is required. Ability to work both independently and cooperatively in a team. Computer and word processing skills; troubleshooting skills. Continual personal quality improvement and lifelong learning. Proficient in MS office suite. Knowledge of ancillary technologies: ADCs, Packaging Machines and associated interfaces. Membership with a pharmacy professional organization. Inventory control process knowledge is an asset.
