Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited Alberta College of Paramedics (ACP) Advanced Care Paramedic program. Active registration and practice permit with the Alberta College of Paramedics (ACP). Must hold a valid Class 4 Alberta Operator's Licence with no more than six (6) demerits. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of current paramedic field experience and able to maintain clinical expertise through regular field rotations. Equivalent healthcare qualifications may be considered. Current ITLS, ACLS, PALS (or equivalent) and BCLS-HCP; instructor's level preferred. A one-page expression of interest letter must accompany your application (please attach online with resume). Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem solving and decision making skills. Able to identify learning needs, develop objectives, instruct adults, manage a classroom and evaluate training as well as create a positive learning environment. Ability to coach and support peers. Strong analytical skills. High level of interpersonal skills required to gain the co-operation of others. Ability to work without supervision.

Preferred Qualifications:

University degree or post-secondary education in a related field. Adult education and 2+ years of current teaching experience.
