Required Qualifications:

Completion of bachelor's degree in Psychology. Minimum of two years' experience in a Mental Health setting. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS - HCP). Current Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification. Possession of a valid driver's licence and access to a motor vehicle in good repair for work-related travel.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Applicants must have experienced with applied behaviour management strategies (positive approaches). Have the ability to conduct comprehensive behavioural mental health assessments, including observation, data collection and analysis, resulting in developing an applicable individualized care plan. Have the ability to work confidently and independently, be self-directed, have a client-focused orientation and commitment to providing quality services. Have excellent analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills. Ability to thoroughly and accurately collect and document information professionally and timely and have effective written and oral communication skills, proficient computer skills, strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to foster a climate of cooperation, networking and build solid relationships with public service providers, government, committees and other partners. Must be client-centred, knowledgeable in trauma-informed care, harm reduction, and psychosocial rehabilitation principles.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preference will be given to applicants with 5 years of experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities, additional experience working with individuals with mental health disorders, substance use disorders with accompanying behavioural issues. Must have a demonstrated ability to provide consultation, assessment, intervention, education and coaching—knowledge of the Mental Health Act, Community Treatment Orders, and Protection of Person in Care Act.
