Required Qualifications:

A Masters’ Degree in Theology and/or Spirituality, or in process with a commitment to complete in the next year. A Member in good standing of CASC (Canadian Association for Spiritual Care) or APC (Association of Professional Chaplains). Minimum 1 year advanced unit of CPE with a commitment to complete final unit within one year. Heart and Stroke BLS (basic life support – requirement for all health care providers).

Additional Required Qualifications:

As required.

Preferred Qualifications:

A Specialist w/ CASC/APC or in process w/ commitment to achieve certification w/in a year. 2nd year advanced unit CPE. Relevant clinical exp. in an acute care clinical setting. Previous exposure/training in clinical ethics. Experience educating & empowering staff & religious community members to share in the work of SC. Experience with public speaking & group facilitation. Experience with computer & technology skills to facilitate interdisciplinary charting & communication.
