Completion of an accredited Medical Device Reprocessing (MDR) program. Completion of an Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) certification or Canadian Standards Association (CSA) certification.
Additional Required Qualifications:Experience with the application of professional knowledge, technical and interpersonal skills, and critical thinking application in a professional setting. Ability to handle heavy or awkward items (lifting, transferring, carrying), and withstand considerable walking or standing. Adherence to policy and practice standards and Canadian Nurses Association Code of Ethics. Ability to be physically confined to an area due to job demands. Ability to maintain confidentiality of all patient information and health records. Ability to identify own strengths and weaknesses and showing initiative for improvement. Ability to work effectively and efficiently with others and accept change.
Preferred Qualifications:Preference will be given to candidates with recent MDR experience, Preference will be given to candidates with at least two years experience in a hospital setting MDR.
