This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in a health services discipline (ie. Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, Occupational Therapy) and a minimum of 5 years clinical experience in a counselling or therapist role, preferably within addiction or mental health services; 1-2 years experience working with concurrent disorders; and, a minimum of 2 years experience providing clinical supervision to frontline counseling staff in residential treatment environments for youth.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Successful candidates will be required to be available for some evening work as operationally required. Current First Aid/BLS, Suicide Prevention, and Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training are all requirements for this position. A valid Class 5 Driver's License is also required, as the position requires local travel.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in coaching, mentoring and performance management with frontline treatment service providers. Preference will also be given to those with Masters Degrees and registration in a professional regulatory body as defined by the Health Professions Act.
