Required Qualifications:

Current registration with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Skills and experience relevant to nursing practice in a continuing care setting. Employee conflict/resolution experience. Experience in consultations with Families, liaison between nursing staff and medical staff. Able to manage concerns brought forward by Patients/Clients utilizing effective communication skills and ensuring transpiring this field. Must be able to manage conflict resolution with little or no direction and know how to utilize the network of resources available. Able to utilize established procedures and practices and will be provided mentoring through the Area manager and Management Team.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Able to motivate and lead staff members towards common goals. Able to establish a safe and supportive environment for staff by ensuring appropriate workforce allocation, resources and availability or policies and procedures. Ability to recruit and retain employees thereby maintaining sustainability of service provision.


Preferred Qualifications:

Baccalaureate degree in nursing is preferred. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Supervisory role, ideally in an organization of significant size, complexity and diversity with health care experience is an asset. Experience in RAI & MDS is preferred.
