Required Qualifications:

A minimum of a Baccalaureate Degree in nursing required or consideration will be given to equivalencies in education and experience. 3 - 5 years in a health care provider role and a minimum of 1 year in a leadership capacity. A demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development. Active Alberta registration as a Registered Nurse (CARNA). Effective communicator with strong organizational skills, influential skills, client focused orientation and commitment to providing quality services. Leadership skills, including demonstrated ability and comfort with decision-making responsibilities, coaching and teaching and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others. Demonstrated ability to manage change. Ability to manage human, financial and physical resources within an operating environment. Proven ability to foster partnerships and to achieve organizational goals within an organization and ideally managing within a unionized sector. Strong track record in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Effective leadership abilities combined with a strong commitment to operation within a team environment and the ability to motivate and inspire others to achieve common goals.
