Completion of a two year diploma in Biomedical Engineering Technology from an accredited Institute of Technology. Active or eligible for registration as a Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) with The Association of Science and Engineering Technology Professionals of Alberta (ASET).
Additional Required Qualifications:On-the-job training is required in addition to education. Exhibit a working knowledge of medical terminology and physiology along with networking and PC based equipment. Demonstrate technical skills and mechanical aptitude. Demonstrate good interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills; proven organizational skills. Must be reliable, alert, accurate, capable of working independently and possess good judgment and initiative. Travel within zone will be required to provide additional support to other facilities as required. Ability to travel is required, both internally in Alberta as well as out-of-province or country travel required for training purposes. Must possess a valid passport and/or relevant documentation allowing entry into the USA as well as the ability to travel within Alberta and Canada.
Preferred Qualifications:Relevant experience in the biomedical field is an asset.
