Required Qualifications:

Completion of bachelor's degree in Psychology. Minimum of two years' experience in a Mental Health setting. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS - HCP). Current Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification. Possession of a valid driver's licence and access to a motor vehicle in good repair for work-related travel.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Degree in Psychology or related field (disability studies, social work) with experience creating care plans with applied behaviour management strategies (positive approaches). Must have a functional understanding of applied behaviour analysis. Must have at least 2 years of previous experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team creating mental health behaviour support care plans. Must have the ability to thoroughly and accurately collect and document information in a professional and timely manner. Applicants must be experienced with client-centered & trauma-informed care, harm reduction, and psychosocial rehabilitation principles.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preference will be given to: Applicants with at 3 or more years' experience providing behaviour support to individuals with any combination of mental health, addictions, brain injury and/or other disabilities. Applicants with experience providing consultation, assessment, intervention, education and coaching. Applicants with knowledge of the Mental Health Act, Community Treatment Orders, Protection of Person in Care Act, AHS Policies & Procedures and other relevant legislation.
