Required Qualifications:

Completion of bachelor's degree in Psychology. Minimum of two years' experience in a Mental Health setting. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS - HCP). Current Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification. Possession of a valid driver's licence and access to a motor vehicle in good repair for work-related travel.

Additional Required Qualifications:

At least five years' experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or mental health concerns. At least two years working full-time working with individuals who have addictions, brain injury or other disabilities with accompanying behavioural issues. At least two years' experience with applied behaviour management strategies working full-time completing functional behaviour assessments and developing behaviour care plans. Must have the ability to work confidently and independently, be self-directed, client-focused and have a commitment to providing evidence-based interventions. Must have excellent analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to develop therapeutic relationships. Must have the ability to thoroughly and accurately collect and document information in a professional and timely manner. Effective computer and organizational skills are a position requirement. May consider applicants with diploma/degree in disability studies, social work or other related fields if other requirements are met.

Preferred Qualifications:

Formal training in ABA/Behavior Science Technology. Preference will be given to applicants with a demonstrated ability to provide consultation, assessment, intervention, education and coaching to stakeholders. Experienced in client-centered care, trauma-informed care and psychosocial rehabilitation principles. Experience working with a multidisciplinary team and have the ability to work well with a wide range of disciplines.
