Completion of bachelor's degree in Psychology. Minimum of two years' experience in a Mental Health setting. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS - HCP). Current Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification. Possession of a valid driver's licence and access to a motor vehicle in good repair for work-related travel.
Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work or Occupational Therapy. Certificate in Behavioural Intervention, Applied Behavioural Analysis or equivalent combination of education and experience. Regulated professionals will hold active registration with their application regulatory body in the province of Alberta. Experience working with children and adolescents (4 – 17) with Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities. Knowledge of how neurodevelopmental concerns impact child and adolescent growth and development. Knowledge of learning issues, classroom behavioral challenges, and relevant classroom strategies. Strong ability to work within a team and contribute positively to change in emerging programs is essential.
Preferred Qualifications:A master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or Occupational Therapy. A minimum of two years of experience within the last five years providing behavioural assessment and intervention with children and adolescents who have neurodevelopmental concerns. Effective interpersonal and communication skills. Knowledge of screening and assessment tools, including behavioral rating scales.
