Completion of bachelor's degree in Psychology. Minimum of two years' experience in a Mental Health setting. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS - HCP). Current Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification. Possession of a valid driver's licence and access to a motor vehicle in good repair for work-related travel.
Additional Required Qualifications:At least three years of experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities with applied behaviour management strategies (positive approaches). Previous ABA Experience. Must be comfortable working with families, providing in-home services, and having a well-maintained reliable vehicle as there will be regular travel required. Must have recent extensive experience conducting comprehensive behavioural mental health assessments, including observation, data collection and analysis resulting in the development of appropriate individualized care plans. Have the ability to work confidently and independently, be self-directed, be client-focused with a commitment to providing quality services. Must have the excellent analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills and can thoroughly and accurately collect and document information professionally and timely and have effective written and oral communication skills, proficient computer skills, strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:Preference will be given to applicants with five years of experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities and mental health disorders with accompanying behavioural issues. Preference will also be given to candidates who are pursuing (actively registered in a recognized program) or have completed BCBA Certification. Must have a demonstrated ability to provide consultation, assessment, intervention, education and coaching.
