Required Qualifications:

Completion of bachelor's degree in Psychology. Minimum of two years' experience in a Mental Health setting. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS - HCP). Current Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification. Possession of a valid driver's licence and access to a motor vehicle in good repair for work-related travel.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work or Occupational Therapy. Certificate in Behavioural Intervention, Applied Behavioural Analysis or Equivalent combination/experience preferred. Professional certificates, registrations and designation, in order to practice. Experience working with children and adolescents (4 – 17) with Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities. A minimum of two (2) years’ experience with children and adolescents who have both mental health and developmental disability issues within the last five (5) years. Masters’ Degree in Psychology, Social Work or Occupational Therapy preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in community mental health setting. Previous experience working with children with neurodevelopmental disorders. Effective interpersonal and communication skills. Knowledge of normal growth and development for children/adolescents. Knowledge of learning issues and classroom behavioral challenges. Knowledge of assessment tools and behavioral rating scales/checklists. Strong ability to work within a team and contribute positively to change in emerging programs is essential.
