Completion of Grade 10 required.
Additional Required Qualifications:Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (Level C) required. Previous hospital portering. Ability to understand principles and application of infection control. Ability to understand principles and application of basic aseptic technique. Ability to read, write, and communicate in English. Ability to maintain good interpersonal relationships with patients, operating room staff, and other hospital personnel. Ability to set priorities. Ability to be able to spend most of the working day standing/walking. Ability to be physically able to transport patients and maneuver/push/pull stretchers/carts/ equipment; weight involved will vary and may be considerable. Ability to be able to work shifts and weekends. Ability to wear required PPE including N95 masks.
Preferred Qualifications:Previous operating room experience.
