Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing, or a health-related field. Registered with the applicable professional association or college. Experience in at least one of the following areas: Acute care operations, Communicable Disease Control, Public Health, Infection Prevention Control or Case Management within the last 7 years. A minimum of 3 years in a supervisory capacity. Ideally experience will be related to operations in an organization of significant size, complexity, and diversity. Demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development. Demonstrated ability to work virtually.
Additional Required Qualifications:Demonstrated excellent leadership, organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills. Demonstrate high standards of professionalism and diligence with the ability to work in a fast paced, stressful, challenging environment. Exhibit exceptional verbal and written communication skills. A demonstrated ability and comfort with decision making responsibilities, coaching, and teaching and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others. Knowledge of change management and quality improvement practices. Exhibit strong time management and prioritization skills, with a demonstrated ability to function effectively within a stressful and evolving work environment. Exhibit strong ability for attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:Knowledge and experience in communicable disease control and/or public health programs. Knowledge and experience in infection prevention control. Experience with contact tracing (i.e. epidemiology). Experience working in Alberta Health Services or organization of significant size, complexity, and diversity.
