Required Qualifications:

A post-secondary degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or Marketing. Participation in retail management training program from a large national / international retailer. Previous multi-site retail management experience of 3-5 years with annual sales of over $3.5 million is required. Demonstrated skills in the development of business plans, financial management and negotiation are required. Demonstrated skills in product sales and customer service are required. Leadership experience of 3-5 years in a volunteer service environment with an organization of significant size, complexity and diversity is preferred (healthcare experience an asset). Personal volunteer experience is required. A demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development.

Additional Required Qualifications:

The incumbent will possess a record of accomplishment in the following areas: Progressive experience in multi-site retail product assortment planning, merchandise presentation and marketing plans. General knowledge of the client group / function supported and the standards, policies and procedures. Experience as a team member in project planning, execution, reporting, monitoring and evaluation. Understanding of physical and human resource management principles, concepts and impacts. Knowledge and skills in problem solving and concerns resolution. Strong commitment to operating within a team environment and the ability to work with others to achieve common goals. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Effective communicator with strong organizational skills, influential skills, and client focused orientation and commitment to providing quality services. Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders to respond to standard requests and relay information. Experience in research, data analysis and/or interpretation, evaluation methodologies, and developing effective reports. Demonstrated ability to facilitate change. Proven ability to foster partnerships and to achieve organizational goals within a large, diverse organization and managing within a unionized environment.
