Required Qualifications:

A degree in a health care profession including one of the Allied Health Professions or Nursing with appropriate licensure with the respective professional college is required. A minimum of 5 years in a clinical role and supervisory experience ideally in an organization of similar size, complexity and diversity, is required. Equivalencies of education and experience may be considered.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Incumbent must demonstrate a clear pattern of professional and personal development in the following areas: Progressive leadership experience in an acute care environment, including experience in a leadership role in operations. Effective communicator (written and verbal) with strong organizational skills, influential skills, client-focused orientation and commitment to providing quality services. Leadership skills, including demonstrated ability and comfort with decision-making responsibilities, coaching and teaching, and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others within a team environment. Demonstrated ability to manage change and create innovative solutions for complex and diverse issues. Ability to manage human, financial and physical resources within an operating environment. Proven ability in establishing and maintaining collaborative, effective working relationships with internal (e.g. a diverse inter-professional team) and external (incl. outside either Allied Health or AHS) stakeholders, to achieve organizational goals. Ability to plan, organize, prioritize and manage multiple concurrent projects, incl. short and long term plans, and deliver client-focused results for staff and patients. Success with mediating and managing conflict situations. Proficiency with computer applications (e.g. Microsoft Office).


Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with ESP, eCritical Metavision and SCM preferred. Experience with recruiting and on-boarding of new staff (RMS) preferred. Previous management experience within a unionized sector would be an asset.
