Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Actively integrates Patient and Family Centered Care principles into practice. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to work collaboratively with members of the multidisciplinary team. Demonstrates critical thinking, conflict resolution and problem solving skills. Excellent time management and prioritization skills. Competence in relevant technical nursing skills and a willingness to learn new skills as required. Physically able to perform all assigned tasks which may be involve physical exertion not limited to climbing stairs, walking outside, lifting up to 30 lbs., pulling-pushing, stooping and carrying which may involve visits to client homes that are not ideal. Demonstrated ability to work independently in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:5 years of Home Care experience preferred. RAI HC and PSC training. Experience with Meditech, Care Manager, Microsoft Office and general computer skills preferred.
